Derfor vinder Beyoncé ikke Ärets album ved "Scammys"

Med 32 Grammy-statuetter stĂ„ende derhjemme burde BeyoncĂ© ikke have noget at brokke sig over. Men der er Ă©n Grammy Award, som hun aldrig har vundet - "Årets Bedste Album".

I en artikel pÄ dr.dk forklarer Erik Steinskog, Beyoncé-ekspert og lektor ved Institut for Kunst- og Kulturvidenskab pÄ KÞbenhavns Universitet, at der kan vÊre flere grunde til, hvorfor hun aldrig har vundet prisen fÞr - og hvorfor hun formentlig heller ikke vinder den i Är.

"Der er mange spekulationer om bĂ„de kĂžn og race, nĂ„r det kommer til, at hun ikke har vundet "Årets Album" fĂžr. Det handler ogsĂ„ om, at der var en lang periode, hvor der var stĂžrre sandsynlighed for, at et rockalbum vandt frem for et R&B-album. Rock blev set pĂ„ som mere betydningsfuld".

I artiklen pointerer han desuden, at "Årets Album" ikke nĂždvendigvis gives til det objektivt bedste album. Det handler lige sĂ„ meget om popularitet hos fansene, og hvor kommercielt et album har vĂŠret. Det er ikke bare det kunstneriske, der bliver taget i betragtning, nĂ„r Ă„rets bedste album skal kĂ„res.

"Alle kunne se, at det var en kĂŠmpe forbigĂ„else, at hun ikke vandt "Årets album" for "Lemonade" i 2017. Det tror jeg, alle, der arbejder seriĂžst med popmusik, vil mene. Det var det bedste album, der udkom i 2016."

I stedet for BeyoncĂ© var det Adele, der vandt prisen for "Årets Album" ved Grammy Awards 2017. I sin takketale sagde hun endda, at BeyoncĂ© skulle have vundet prisen i stedet for hende selv.

Mange Beyoncé-fans har ogsÄ valgt at boycotte "Scammys", da Beyoncé - trods hendes rekordmange vundne Grammy-priser - ikke har modtaget den anerkendelse, hun fortjener.

Grammy Awards 2017 var et godt eksempel pĂ„, hvor fans og musikere vurderer "Årets Album" ud fra et kunstnerisk aspekt, vurderer Recording Academy i virkeligheden "Årets Album" ud fra et kommercielt aspekt.

Erik Steinskog forklarede ogsÄ til DR, at han ikke tror, at Beyoncé kommer til at vinde alle de 11 priser, hun er nomineret til, og hun kommer til at fÄ det svÊrt i country-kategorierne.
